What’s better than meeting a couple for engagement pictures before the wedding?  Meeting the couple the DAY BEFORE the wedding, and spending the whole weekend with them!  Carter and Kyle wanted engagement photos at Cloud 9 Farms in Fletcher, NC and at “the cut”–an incredible overlook off of the highway with a  view of downtown Asheville.  We were all about it!

What’s better than their sweet and breath-taking engagement photos?  The photos of the day after….A preview of their wedding will follow soon!Cloud 9 Farms Engagement PhotosPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEDowntown Asheville Engagement SessionPINIMAGEDowntown Asheville EngagementsPINIMAGEAsheville Engagement SessionPINIMAGEDowntown AshevillePINIMAGE

Shane and Hannah’s wedding at Dennis Vineyards in Albermarle, NC was even sweeter, prettier, and more personal than we had envisioned.  Getting to know these two over the past few months, we had high expectations.  They are two of the sweetest, most genuine people we’ve worked with, and any session we’ve had with them left our hearts full.  For starters, they decided to see each other before the ceremony.  They talked, prayed, laughed together, easing any nerves (if there were any to begin with, we’re not sure), and their time together and interactions seemed to put everybody else at ease too.  The vows they wrote to each other and read during the ceremony were absolutely perfect.  Spot on, captured each of their personalities, with just enough light-heartedness and sincerity to give us all the feels.  The cherry on top?  The first dance included some Sam Cooke.

Shane and Hannah, we love you guys!  Congratulations!PINIMAGE

The Woodmill Winery in Vale, NC was the perfect wedding spot for the sweet, easy-going, happy and genuine couple that is Christina and John. The short summer afternoon shower kept the heat at bay and gave us some really cool clouds for a backdrop.  The layout of the winery provided some gorgeous views of North Carolina vines while keeping everybody just close enough for the kind of fun dancing and intimate conversation most people wish they could’ve had at their reception.

Also, how sweet are those lavender buds for a grand exit?  Looks like rice.  Feels like flower petals.  Smells like heaven.

Congratulations John and Christina!

On land originally belonging to her great-grandparents, as a little girl, Melia would visit her grandfather’s house in Fallston, NC and dream of her wedding at home in front of the red barn.

That day came, and the location was just the tip of the iceberg that was the personal, memorable, meaningful, and rooted nature of this very special wedding.  Melia’s dress was her own, but about anything else she wore down the aisle belonged to a loved one.  It was as if she was given away by more than just her daddy.

And on the other side of the aisle was Tanner: a Marine, who quickly sheds any tough exterior when it comes to his new bride.  If you can find these two on Instagram, do yourself a favor, and follow them; they’ll be your daily dose of cuteness!

This sweet wedding had plenty of southern charm, family history, relationships and love, barns, bluegrass, lucky bourbon and barbecue to go around.

Melia and Tanner, congratulations!  We love you both, and we were honored to be there for your wedding!
